  I cannot for the life of me figure out how this place gets so many four and five star reviews. This was hands down the worst hotel I've had the... read more misfortune of staying at, possibly ever, for multiple reasons: The management - We traveled all over Albania and experienced fantastic customer service everywhere...except here. Everyone acted like we were bothering them with basic questions like "can we check in" and "how do we book a rafting excursion". Oftentimes the reception counter isn't staffed at all, in which case you have to ask one of the wait staff to find the reception person which also (unsurprisingly) annoys them greatly. The accomodation - unless you are paying for their most expensive rooms, you are not in the castle. Instead you are situation in a crap shack above the parking lot that's reminiscent of a seedy motel in a 70s slasher film. The wood was peeling off the wall and the toilet moved when you sat down on it. The beds were also some of the worst we've slept on in years. The food - reminiscent of camp or cafeteria food you get in the US, and way more expensive that the delicious food you can get down in Berat's city center. The location - if you don't have a car it's a mile long trek up/down a steep hill and it's hard to get a taxi up there. Please please ignore the... We were large group my parents, my brother who lives in Canada with his fiancee and me in England with my wife and two children. Honestly don’t know where to start from beginning to the end it was 100%. Initially when we entered we’ve been asked by a young waiter called (Ranato) if we had a booking but we did not! It did not metter he gave us the best table we requested and served as through to the end.

Delicious food, high quality and fresh wow unbelievable, what made me more impressed is that Renato had almost full restaurant with large tables and he did not miss a thing, plus there was definitely food wrongly explained/written in the menu “Berat Beef Steak” which for some reason came not beef had to return it! again, with restaurant being full he did not hesitate to rectify the issue so quickly in a professional manner!.

We ordered soup for my 7 month daughter and he did ask us if we wanted blended! We of course wanted that! brilliant!! . I do not often write comments but we own restaurant ourselves in England and we do know how hard is to do this job especially on your own!.

We definitely suggest to anyone any occasion to visit Castle Park Hotel,

The perfect weekend getaway if you’d like to relax, but even better if you’d like to try out the e-bike tours or white water rafting that the hotel also offers. It’s a truly perfect destination for everyone!

The salad was very fresh and the traditional dishes reminded me of my grandmother's dishes. I will be back again in this wonderful hotel. I recommend 100% staying in this hotel as the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast abundant and fantastic.
