The Osumi Canyon is one of our must-go Albania Tours! It is a 3 million year old canyon, also named as the Colorado of the Balkans, with its 12 km trail and walls reaching up to 120 meters. It is going to give you an unforgettable sight, as one of the best places to visit in Albania!

The hike down the Osumi Canyon is going to last approximately 2-3 hours varying on the experience, size and desires of the group.

Going through the canyon, you are going to witness its unique ecosystem. The caves and different shapes of rock formation are going to astonish you, as there is an island not far from the starting point where you can jump and get some nice adrenaline rush.

The stories and legend of this place are vast, so along the way you are going to hear them. And this is not all, the canyon has a surprise for you: you are also going to be joined by several waterfalls, with its mightiest being the love waterfall.

After you climb up your way to the road, the minibus is going to take us to a local restaurant, where you are going to taste the best Albanian food.

You can come directly to the Castle Park hotel, in Berat or we can pick you up from a desirable place in the city.

For the present activity you should love the outdoors, own good health condition and have consulted the doctor during the year. Kids over 5 years old are very welcomed. Previous experience or skill is not required.

Instructions

You should have worn:

• Swimming suit
• Very sport light wear (short trousers and t-shirt)
• Sandals / sneakers for walking, strong and non-slippery
• A smile

You should take with you:

• Sunlight protection cream
• An extra pair of underneath
• An extra pair of long trouser, t-shirt

Active Albania provides:

! Kindly keep all your clothes and personal belongings in a backpack, which can be easily transported on minivan.

Please keep in mind that if you handle your own transportation, you must have a driver to turn back the car while we enjoy the trip.

Not Included: The trip fare doesn’t include coffee and any kind of drink except water. You’ll probably feel like tipping your guides at the end of a fabulous trip, though you won’t need to pull out your wallet every few minutes on your Active Albania adventure tour!

Flexibility: We’re really flexible and none of our itineraries are written in stone, so if you have a particular interest you’d like to include or you need to leave a trip earlier or join later (at a pro-rated fare), just let us know and we can almost always make it happen. Likewise, all adventure travel requires a certain amount of flexibility and we sometimes have to make minor changes to the activities because of weather and availability, but we have plenty of options up our sleeve.
