The special women of Berat
The city of Berat has many brave women, hardworking and above all direct and proud of their work and family.
We loved to meet some of the women from Berat as they motivated us and made us understand how important it is to be proud of what we have achieved so far. I present you some of them:
Esmeralda Qirko taught us to be modest, and to be a good parent and friend. One of the first women in our city who set up her business more than 22 years ago where the women of the city did not drive cars and did not run companies because of the mentality of the time.
Although she has over 200 employees and is the founder of “Berat Konfeks”, she continues and works from the simplest to the most important jobs, sharing with us her difficulties and challenges without any complex, motivating us that we are not alone and to continue to move forward even in these times when the economy is collapsing.
In love with nature and sports, Alda has been the first women in Berat to support us by becoming a promoter of the sport of rafting together with her larger family. Active and supportive programs for young people.
Entela Cobo, co-founder of Catina Cobo, which has brought European and innovative standards to Albania for the first time in this industry, becoming a point of reference for many other canteens.
Today she gave us a fantastic experience that took us to the roots of the autochthonous vines in the area from Pulsi to Vloshi and then she explained to us that in order to reach our tables it takes love, dedication, hard work to improve and to always be the first. Since their origins, they have been dedicated with love and creativity to the cultivation of viticulture and native Albanian products.
The Cobo winery hosts thousands of tourists every year for wine tasting, promoting culinary tourism.
That’s when we realized that to be “healthy and summery” you have to have friends who know how to make great wine. We’re lucky to have a friend like Tela!

With Aferdita Pajo, the most devoted businesswoman, wife and mother I have ever known. She is an example of loving and helping unconditionally, without asking for anything in return because she is very sure that love brings only love. Very proud, energetic and grateful, for all of her achievements.
Valentina Zotkaj, one of the professional engineers with a lot of experience in our city for civil industrial constructions.
A profession dominated by men in Albania and Vali is an example for all girls that with professionalism, work and seriousness you can be successful in any field. Elegant, ambitious and a woman who loves nature and beauty makes you feel great.
Gloria Aliaj, enterprising girl, professional in education, director of many artistic and professional projects, active in politics, is an example for all young people that they can raise their future in Berat.
Era Mamurani, the girl who managed to successfully finish her higher studies in Economics, Finance department at the University of Tirana and build her life and career in Berat. It seems that 100 km away she is in love and happy because her eyes shine with dreams and projects for the future
